20/09/2026 SBA Trail 2025: Macramé Keyring Workshop at Bedminster Library **Session 1pm - 2pm**
Create colourful macramé keyrings using two basic knots, at Bedminster Library, as part of the South Bristol Arts Trail 2026.
Get started with the enjoyable craft of macramé in this beginner-friendly workshop! You'll learn how to master a few basic knots and use these fundamentals to create your very own colourful keyrings.
Guided step-by-step by your tutor Sam, the maker behind SC Knits, you'll work with colourful, hand-dyed cotton yarn provided for the class. Choose your preferred colours, and Sam will lead you through each loop and knot needed to complete your piece. No previous experience is necessary for this creative activity, making it suitable for adults and children aged 8 years and older.
By the end of the session, you'll have finished keyrings for you to display on keys or as a bag charm.
Workshop includes:
- Colourful cord options and keyring attachments
- Expert tuition from Sam, to learn at least two knotting techniques
- Example pieces for inspiration
- Your beautifully finished keyrings to take home
If you wish to continue your macramé journey, cord and keyrings will be available to purchase separately at the workshop or visit my stand at Venue 42, Share Bristol throughout the weekend.
