Create festive macramé decorations using two basic knots, at the Craft Egg, Fishponds.
Get started with the enjoyable craft of macramé in this beginner-friendly workshop! You'll learn how to master a few basic knots and use these fundamentals to create your very own hoop decorations.
Guided step-by-step by your tutor Sam, the maker behind SC Knits, you'll work with colourful, hand-dyed cotton yarn provided for the class. Choose your preferred festive colour combinations, and Sam will lead you through each loop and knot needed to complete your piece. No previous experience is necessary for this creative activity, making it suitable for adults and children aged 10 years and older.
By the end of the session, you'll have finished three knotted decorations to take home and display on your tree.
Workshop Includes:
- A selection of colourful hand-dyed cotton cord options (festive colours, red, green and white)
- Expert tuition from Sam
- Example pieces for inspiration
- Refreshments (cold and hot drinks) and mince pies
- Three different knotted Christmas decorations
If you wish to continue your macramé journey, hoops and cord will be available to purchase after the session.
This activity can also be arranged as a creative addition to private parties, gatherings, or social events. For private bookings, please contact the host, Sam, to discuss possibilities. Note that venue provision or hire costs will apply for private arrangements.
